Spring is awakened with a riot of colour and none is more prolific than the Clematis montana. As a vigorous species that can grow to 8-12 meters if not kept in check.
The leaves start as a bronze purple hue and the flowers smother the whole plant, small single, white/pale pink flowers in late Spring at the same time as Laburnum and Wisteria.
