Clematis montana

Published on April 26th 2018
Spring is awakened with a riot of colour and none is more prolific than the Clematis montana. As a vigorous species that can grow to 8-12 meters if not kept in check.
The leaves start as a bronze purple hue and the flowers smother the whole plant, small single, white/pale pink flowers in late Spring at the same time as Laburnum and Wisteria.
@Ginnylomas1 posted recently asking for advice to prolong the flower on her home grown Clematis montana.
It's not a plant for every garden as it can grow so big but it is a real head turner, if you catch a glimpse so a spectacular specimen please share it with us in the Candide Community.
