We are looking for an energetic Head of Marketing to lead all commercial activities for our marketplace. This role will be responsible for ownership of the Candide Marketplace Marketing and all the associated strategic levers including A) Developing a holistic marketing strategy across Brand & Performance B) User acquisition (Seller and Consumer) via organic and paid channels C) Online and offline marketing acquisition. The role will have multiple teams reporting into it including Performance Marketing, Social Marketing and email marketing. The individual will have managed budgets in excess of £3MM and delivered ROAS in excess of 300%.
● Hands on single threaded leader of Candide Marketplace Marketing. Lead team of approximately 4-5 people initially and scale team as the business grows
● Develop the user acquisition and growth strategy for Candide Marketplace across digital, print, partnerships etc. Define a suitable go-to market strategy; create a roadmap detailing how key targets will be met over the next 12 months including milestones and delivery dates.
● To be suitable you will have solid experience across the full marketing mix including online and offline marketing channels; SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email Marketing, Events, Direct Marketing. You will have proven experience managing marketing budgets and delivering ROI. Delivered ROAS against budget spends of 300%.
● Execute Brand strategy either internally or via Agencies
● Experience working with CMS systems and developing compelling creatives
● Experience automating and scaling marketing acquisition across various channels.
● Analysing performance and driving recommendations for improvement/optimization
● In coordination with the Head of Trading, drive Calendar management and maintenance with consistent follow-up and status updates.
● Contribute to feature ideation and adoption for best on-site experience
● Develop marketing foundations for business to scale on a worldwide basis (next stop Europe). Other European languages a bonus
● Strong analytical skills and business sense in a sophisticated data environment; ability to make the data speak volumes about program performance, trends and areas of opportunity.
● Prior experience growing and scaling a startup business
● At least five years of experience leading a high performing team
● 7-10 years of total experience with at last 3-5 years of experience working in a marketplace environment.
● Prior experience of accelerating growth of businesses via the deployment of a winning strategy
● Motivated to grow with an entrepreneurial mentality to drive performance against agreed important metrics.
● Influencing & negotiating with internal & external stakeholders
● Can communicate effectively in large or small group settings
● Strong project management and problem-solving skills
