Overview

Liatris spicata is a deciudous perennial species known by a wide range of common names, from the Asteraceae family. This plant typically grows to 70cm tall, producing narrow foliage and purple-pink flowers arranged on spikes from later summer to early autumn. This species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. A great choice for encouraging pollinating insect wildlife into your garden!
