Himalayan Honeysuckle Overview

Leycesteria formosa is a deciduous shrub species in the honeysuckle family, Caprifoliaceae. It is a low-maintenance, vigorous plant that produces fragrant, pendant white flowers, which develop into showy dark red-purple berries in autumn. The flowers have showy red-purple modified leaf structures surrounding the flowers, termed bracts. It has an erect habit and produces sea-green stems with long, pointed, oval-shaped foliage.
