Spindle Overview

Spindle 'Red Cascade' is a cultivar of Euonymus europaeus. It is a large deciduous shrub that can reach a height of 4m and a width of 3m. The foliage of Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade' is oval-shaped and develops into bright red autumn colours. Summer flowers are small and yellow-green, leading on to showy pink fruits which split to reveal bright orange seeds. This popular cultivar is well-suited to a winter garden, providing bright cheerful colour throughout autumn and the berries are great for use in homemade Christmas wreaths! Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade' can also be used for hedging and is low maintenance.
