Grizzlybear Pricklypear Overview

Opuntia polyacantha var. erinacea is a perennial cactus plant from the Cactaceae family. It forms long, white-grey spines, these point downwards and are relatively hair-like and brittle, overall making a shaggy white coat. Flowers are coloured rose-pink or yellow, leading onto spiny fruits. It has a clumping habit and is hardy to -20 degrees Celsius if kept dry over the winter. Plant in a position of full sun, in well-draining soil for optimal growth.
