Drosera is one of the largest genera of carnivorous plants, containing almost 200 species of evergreen, herbaceous perennials, commonly termed Sundews. They trap live prey through sticky secretions from specialised glandular tentacle structures on their leaf surfaces as an adaptation to living in nutrient-poor environments. Species in this genus differ in size and structure and this genus is native to every continent except Antarctica, with different growth forms dominant in different locations.
How to propagate Sundew
