Dragon Tree Overview

Dracaena is also a popular choice as a houseplant, being easy to care for and tolerant of irregular watering and low lighting foliage. Dracaena is a genus of more than 100 species of sparsely branched evergreen shrubs and trees. They originate from forests, scrub and dry open slope environments in the tropics and subtropics. These strikingly architectural plants produce lance to strap-shaped, glossy leaves which are spirally arranged, often at the tips of stems. They are grown as specimen plants, or in borders in gardens, for their form and foliage which can be bi-coloured. Recently many plants once considered part of the genus Sansevieria were reclassified and moved to this genus. Toxic to dogs if eaten.
