Spider Plant Overview

Spider Plants are a favourite houseplant across the world, known officially as Chlorophytum comosum. This is the standard green leaved one, it copes with less sun compared to Variegated Spider Plants. The green ribbon-like leaves stay evergreen all year round, particularly when grown inside. It easily multiplies by generating offsets on the end of long stems. Break the offsets off and root in soil or water to grow into new plants. Cultivars with variegated foliage are more commonly grown than this original green species they were bred from. This species can help to filter air and easily grows in shade, indoors and in baskets. It should be kept away from frosts.
