Snail Vine Overview
The snail vine is an attractive vine and features a purple flower that bears a resemblance to a snail, hence the name. It is also a legume and bears a close resemblance to pole bean varieties. Often confused with the Corkscrew vine, the snail vine is invasive where the corkscrew vine is not. Mostly only distinguishable by the flowers, corkscrew vine is highly fragranced where snail vine has no fragrance. This species lies in the Fabaceae (Fabaceae) family of legumes, peas and beans.
