Citronella Spur-Flower Overview
Plectranthus laxiflorus is a tall, strongly aromatic, perennial herb with scrambling stems. They have a sharp citronella-like scent. The leaves are opposite, triangular- and heart-shaped and hairy underneath. The leaf margin is toothed, often slightly rolled under and purplish. The inflorescence is terminal with few branches, with 6-10-flowered clusters that are white or pale mauve with darker markings, rarely blue. It has medicinal value.
