A shrubby or herbaceous shrub that grows up to 1.5m from vigorous roots. It is semi-succulent and has spreading branches and rounded leaves. It can re-sprout from the rootstock. Grows well in moist subtropical gardens, but can handle less water. Grows in both in semi- and full shade. Flower Autumn to Winter. It is an attractive spreading flowering shrub for the garden.
