Coffea arabica is often known as Arabica Coffee, Coffee, Mountain Coffee or Arabian Coffee. It is a hybrid species, formed by a cross of the plants Coffea eugenioides and Coffea canephora. It produces attractive green leaves with a wavy texture to them and delicate white flowers. Coffee is quite easy to grow as a houseplant in humid, warm surroundings. It enjoys bright, partial shade and moist soil, it is tender and won't cope well with freezing temperatures. Arabica coffee is considered to produce the finest coffee beans. The beans are dried, roasted and ground into coffee.
