Plectranthus Saccatus Overview
The Stoep Jacaranda is a soft, semi-succulent, medium-sized, bushy shrub with pretty flowers, fresh green leaves and stems, and a woody base. The shrub reaches a height of about 1.2m. The purple-tinged branches have soft hairs. Important to cut it back well after flowering to keep bushy. Beautiful selections include 'King Goodwill' (rambling form with a long flowering white flower); 'Izingolweni' (lila flowers with large wings) and 'Nkandla' (white with pretty marks in the throat). Also look for 'Ngoye' (long lila-blue flowers) and 'Umtamvuna' (purple flowers with darker wings).
