Rhododendron floribundum is a rhododendron species native to North western Guizhou, South western Sichuan, and North eastern Yunnan in China, where it grows at altitudes of 1400–2700 meters. It is a shrub or small tree that grows to 2–10 meters in height, with leathery leaves 13 × 3.8 cm in size. Flowers are magenta-rose with crimson flecks and blotch at base.
If grown in containers they can be susceptible to Vine Weevil.
Generally not harvested
Take softwood cuttings in summer or hardwood cuttings in late autumn.
Suitable for woodland sheltered sites in large gardens/parks. They can also be grown in large containers.
