    Quercus agrifolia Overview

    This is an evergreen oak with spiny toothed leaves. The trunk has black bark and grows to 15m circa with a bushy canopy. Is considered an important species and old specimens are protected by law. Must be kept dry in summer or its roots will rot; it is difficult to transplant.
