Broussonetia Overview

Genus consisting of approximately 11 deciduous shrubs and trees normally grown for their attractive heart-shaped foliage and unusual spherical flowers. They originate from Eastern Asia and their bark fiber is a common material for high-quality paper in China, Korea and Japan. Some species in this genus have been introduced to other areas and they are capable of being invasive.
