Song Of India Overview
Dracaena reflexa is a tender evergreen shrub with long but sparse erect branches that bear lance-shaped leaves - often crowded towards the tip on more mature plants. It can have small green-white flowers which are followed by orange/red berries in autumn. It is a popular house plant that can be moved outdoors in summer, in temperate climates. Where warmer all year round, it grows well in sheltered positions. There is an attractive variegated variety available. This species has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
