    Lily Overview

Lilium is a genus comprising of over 100 species of tall, bulbous perennial plants with large, often fragrant funnel-shaped flowers. They are native to temperate and subtropical regions mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. Many species have long been cultivated for their showy flowers that come in a variety of colours and forms, and many cultivars and hybrids are available. While there are varieties for every aspect and habitat in the garden, greenhouse and indoors, all prefer well-drained soil.
