Billardiera Overview
Billardiera is a genus containing around 22 evergreen, woody climbing shrub and vine species in the Pittosporaceae family. They are endemic to Australia and the species Billardiera heterophylla is commonly cultivated, it also goes by the name bluebell creeper. Foliage is leathery and arranged alternately and 5-petalled, bell-shaped flowers are either solitary or borne in clusters. They are most frequently grown for their ornamental fruits, which range in colour from red-green to deep purple or vibrant red.
