Liatris Overview

A genus of 50 accepted species of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the Asteraceae (Asteraceae) family native to North America and parts of the Caribbean. They have grass-like foliage and showy bottlebrush-shaped spikes of flowers in shades of purple, pink or white that are popular as bouquet flowers.
