Variegated Trailing Jade Plant Overview
Crassula sarmentosa 'Comet' is a perennial succulent cultivar in the stonecrop family, Crassulaceae. It was previously known by the name Crassula sarmentosa 'Variegata'. This plant has a scrambling growth habit, growing to a height of around 30cm. It produces red stems bearing oval leaves with pointed tips and toothed margins, they are coloured green in the centre, with attractive creamy-yellow edges. The foliage develops an attractive pink-red tinge when grown under strong sunlight. Flowers appear late in autumn, they are star-shaped and white in colour, opening from pink buds.
