Olearia nummulariifolia Overview

This shrub comes from subalpine mountain areas of New Zealand and is distinguished by its tiny leaves, dark green above and densely white or yellowish hairs on the undersides. In summer it bears fragrant cream to pale yellow solitary flowerheads. It reaches a height of 10 ft (3 m) with a dense, many-branched form. Olearia nummulariifolia var. cymbifolia is a form with slightly larger leaves but with their edges curled under and almost touching beneath.
