Trigonella Overview

This genus belongs to the Fabaceae (Fabaceae) family of legumes, peas and beans and comprises around 36 species, the most well-known of which is the culinary herb fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum). The genus name Trigonella means ‘little triangle’ and refers to the shape of the trifoliolate leaves.
