Mint Overview
A genus of over 25 species of rhizomatous, perennial, flowering plants. They are aromatic plants with small tubular flowers and they spread via underground and overground stolons which can result in them becoming invasive. They are cultivated as culinary herbs and there are many varieties available, bred to have a diverse range of aromas. They are happiest in poor but moist soil and best grown with roots restricted in a pot.
