Trollius Overview
Genus containing around 29 hardy, herbaceous perennials with fibrous roots and bright yellow, sometimes orange or white flowers. Best grown and often found near streams and pools of water, this genus requires moist soil to thrive. Also termed Globeflower after the way the petals curve over the flower top, creating a globe shape. This genus contains popular ornamental plants and cultivars selecting for large, colourful blooms have been produced using hybrids from this genus.
