    Dracunculus Overview

    Small genus with just 2 described species of tuberous perennial plant. They produce large, foul-smelling blooms composed of a deep purple spathe and spadix, over pedately divided green foliage, occasionally with white specks. Sometimes grown as ornamental garden plants, this genus originated from the Mediterranean, Madeira and the Canary Islands.
