    + Crataegomespilus Overview

+ Crataegomespilus is the name applied to a small group of deciduous plants created from grafting species in the genera Crataegus and Mespilus. These plants are termed graft-chimaeras, as they are produced by grafting together a rootstock of one plant and a scion of another, to create an intermediate plant with features of both parents. These are not true hybrids and they are notably unstable, with reports of easy reversion to one of the parent plants.
