Helichrysum Overview

Helichrysum is a large genus containing around 560 species of herbaceous annual, evergreen perennial or shrub species in the Asteraceae family. These plants originate from Africa, with a centre of diversity in South Africa, they are also found in Madagascar, Europe and Australasia. These plants are distinguished by their narrow hairy grey-green leaves and papery everlasting flower heads. In cultivation, many are grown as tender annuals for their foliage or flowers
