Dendrobium nobile is also known by the common name Noble dendrobium, it is an epiphytic orchid species in the Orchidaceae family. One of the most popular epiphytic orchids in cultivation, this species is commonly grown as an ornamental. It produces showy, scented, waxy, white and purple-pink blooms measuring between 5-7cm across. Foliage is bright green, leathery in texture and strap-shaped. Leaves are produced alternately on stems and this species makes an attractive and interesting houseplant.
