Monstera peru Overview
Monstera sp. peru is an interesting plant, sometimes called Monstera peru or Monstera karstenianum, the taxonomy on this particular species is still undecided. It has become quite a popular houseplant for the aroid enthusiasts though! This Monstera is a perennial climber from the Araceae family. Grown for the foliage over the flowers, which are rarely seen in cultivation. The leaves have a fantastic smooth and marbled texture, similar to dragon scales. It enjoys high humidity, but do let the soil dry out a bit before watering and you can mist the leaves to provide more care.
