Piptanthus Overview

A genus of evergreen flowering shrubs in the pea family native to the Himalayan region and parts of China. They have trifoliate leaves with lance-shaped leaflets and racemes of yellow pea-like flowers. Known commonly as as evergreen or Nepal laburnum, cultivated species are often trained as wall shrubs and do best in a sheltered position.
