Silver Leaved Earth-Star Overview

Cryptanthus argyrophyllus is an evergreen perennial plant from the Bromeliaceae family. It is not currently recognised as a species and may turn out to be a cultivar. Commonly known by the names Silver Leaved Earth-Star or Earth Star, this plant is a terrestrial bromeliad. Grown for the interesting succulent foliage. Wide leaves are arranged in rosettes, they have trichomes which give a silvery appearance. It produces small white flowers. Grow in partial shade and well draining soil.
