Striped Inch Plant Overview
Callisia gentlei var. elegans is an evergreen, succulent perennial that can be found in Guatemala and Honduras. It has a trailing growth habit and typically grows to around 15cm high. Commonly called Striped Inch Plant and previously known as Callisia elegans. Foliage is dark, olive green and oval in shape, with white striping on the upper surface and purple colouration on the underside. It produces attractive, small white flowers with 3 petals, these are produced in clusters at the tips of stems.

Propagation is by tip cuttings in the spring, either annually or when plants become straggly.
