Ivy 'Gold' Overview
Hedera helix 'Gold' is a medium-sized evergreen cultivar with light green young leaves with golden-yellow edges that turn to a grey-green shade as they get older, with pale yellow edges. It can cope with most light levels, plant in moist, well-draining soil for optimal growth. This cultivar has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Award of Garden Merit. It is also part of the RHS “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. It has a climbing habit and is hardy to -15 degrees Celsius. A great choice for encouraging pollinating insect wildlife into your garden, it can also be grown indoors.
