Foxtail Lilies Overview

Eremurus is a genus with around 60 deciduous, clumping, perennials with fleshy roots, also termed Foxtail Lilies or Desert Candles. Originating from Eastern Europe and Asia they produce tall, bottlebrush-like inflorescences made up of many small cup-shaped flowers on bare stems. Common colours include white, yellow, orange and pink. The flowers tend to open from the base upwards, creating a pointed effect to the tip of the flower spike.
