Trautvetteria Overview
A monotypic genus; that is, one that likely contains only one species - Trautvetteria caroliniensis or false bugbane. It is a member of the buttercup family and is found in North America and Asia where it grows in moist woodland habitats. A rhizomatous herbaceous perennial with large palmate leaves, its feathery flowers resemble those of Thalictrum.
