Conium Overview

Small genus with just 4 hardy, herbaceous species, one of which is the source of a famous poison, called hemlock. This genus is mostly restricted to Southern Africa, with one species spread across temperate climates in Europe, North Africa and Western Asia. They produce dainty, white, 5-petalled flowers in spherical clusters on branched stems.
