Encephalartos bubalinus Overview
This genus consists of slow-growing cycads from the subtropical regions of southern Africa, They will appear as large tufts of spiky fronds before developing a stout trunk. They will grows to a height of 3.5m. The leaves are deep blue green, stiff, ovate and palm-like in appearance. Each leaflet is spine tipped and often toothed. The female plants, once matured will produce spectacular cones from the centre of the crown.
