Grugru Palm Overview

Acrocomia aculeata is a palm species found naturally in tropical America. Grown for the overall stature and attractive foliage, this is pinnately divided and spiny. Commonly known by the names Grugru palm and Macaw palm, amongst others. This plant produces branched yellow inflorescences from in-between the large leaves. These develop into large, single-seeded fruits, coloured yellow, orange or brown.
