Corn Lily Overview
A genus of cormous plants in the Iridaceae family native to South Africa, containing some 66 species. They are distinguished by their upright sword-like leaves and tall stems of star-shaped flowers. Some species are cultivated as garden ornamentals, usually known as the corn lilies. They are grown for their fragrance and because they attract many insect pollinators.
