Pimpernel Overview

Taenidia is a small genus of just 2 herbaceous perennial species in the carrot family, Apiaceae. They are native to the Eastern USA and Canada and are also known as pimpernels. They have compound trifoliate leaves and in spring and summer the plants are topped by airy umbels of tiny yellow flowers. They prefer semi-shade and dry conditions in poor soils to reduce competition from other plants.
