Alyssum Overview

Alyssum contains evergreen perennial and annual species up to 100cm tall and are typically grown for the early summer flowers. These are cross-shaped, with 4 petals and coloured yellow, white, purple or pink. The leaves are simple and alternate, measuring up to 2.5cm in length. These hardy plants make great additions to rock gardens, mixed borders and also survive well in rock crevices.
