Hydrocharis Overview
Hydrocharis is a genus of 5 accepted species of floating aquatic plants in the Hydrocharitaceae family grown in cultivation for their foliage and flowers. They are native to Europe and Asia with a few found in Africa, and are also naturalised in parts of North America. H. morsus-ranae, or the European frogbit, is popular in garden ponds as it resembles a small water lily.
