Brugmansia Overview
Genus of woody, semi-evergreen and evergreen shrubs, trees and annual species with large, hanging, scented flowers. They are commonly called angel’s trumpets and all parts of the plant are considered toxic. They are also cultivated widely as an ornamental plant, ranging in size from 3-11m. Leaves are toothed and often hairy, the flowers measure 14-50cm in length and 4-18cm in width at the opening and have bright variable colours. Flowers can be single, double or multiple, in colours of white, pink, red, orange, yellow and green and their scent gets stronger in the evening.
