Calocedrus Overview

Genus containing 4 species of evergreen conifers characterised by their overlapping scale-like leaves and production of 6-scaled cones, where each scale has 2 seeds. They are native to dry, warm temperate forested regions in Southern China, Taiwan Vietnam and Northwestern America. They can grow up to 60m tall, reaching diameters of 3m and make good specimen trees.
