Rhaphidophora Overview

Rhaphidophora is a genus containing approximately 100 species originating from the tropical woodlands of Africa, Asia and the Pacific Islands. Grown for their attractive foliage which varies in structure, with developing pinnately-divided and longer-stalked leaf arrangements as plants mature. Flowers are produced on mature specimens, most often when grown outside. These are petal-less and arranged on a flowering spike surrounded by a yellow-green spathe structure.
