Livistona chinensis is a tree species from the Arecaceae family. This palm tree species from East Asia is also known by the names Chinese FountainPpalm and Chinese Fan Palm after its large, fan-shaped leaves. Capable of growing up to 15m in height, these typically spread around 4m and are considered attractive ornamental plants for gardens. In certain environments this species may be considered an invasive weed, such as the Caribbean Islands.
