Hesperaloe Overview
Hesperaloe is a genus containing around 8 species of succulent plants from the Asparagaceae family. This genus is native to desert regions of Texas and Mexico, these plants are known commonly as False Yucca because of their resemblance to species in the genus Yucca. They produce narrow, strap-shaped, grooved, fleshy leaves and flower stems bearing racemes of pink, yellow, white or red bell-shaped flowers. They are most commonly cultivated as ornamental plants in xerophyte planting schemes.
