Tetradium Overview

A genus from Eastern Asia comprising 9 species of evergreen or deciduous trees in the citrus or rue family. Their common name is the Bee bee tree as they provide nectar and pollen late in the season after most other trees have finished flowering, so are prized by beekeepers. Cultivated varieties have pinnate leaves and domes of white flowers giving rise to red seeds popular with birds.

How to propagate Tetradium

Softwood cuttings in summer, by seed in autumn. Root cuttings in late winter.
